Member Profile | Maura Da Cruz

If several years ago, one were to ask Maura where she would eventually settle down, Canada, would have been the last place that would have crossed her mind.

Setting:

School yard in an average Vancouver neighbourhood. Two pre-teens (fidgety) discussing the fairness or lack of their parents’ advice.

Nearby a group of younger ones – excitedly recount what a guest speaker told them about the Olympics – The Spirit

The “eavesdropping” paid off for the older children. The lights went on in their heads and “Dahh”! all was well with the world as they took steps towards a not so boring future. - Sally Mascarenhas
