Andrea Santos
Ms. Andrea Verna Santos, an Indian origin student from Vancouver, has been selected to participate in the 16th Know India Programme. Ms. Santos studied International Studies from the Simon Fraser University. She has undertaken various voluntary services in Cambodia, Canada and India. In connection with this programme, Ms. Andrea Verna Santos met Mr. Ashok Das, Consul General of India in Vancouver, on 17th December, 2010. Consul General congratulated her and briefed Ms. Santos on various aspects of the Programme. A photograph taken during the meeting is attached. |

The Ministry of Overseas Affairs, Government of India, in partnership with the State Governments, have been organizing "Know India Programs" with a view to promote awareness on India, its socio-cultural diversity, and ongoing developments taking place in India. Confederation of Indian Industries is the organizational partner. Under this programme, participants are provided full hospitality and are reimbursed 90% of the international airfare to participants from their respective country to India. In this series, the 16th Know India Program is scheduled to be held from 5 to 26 January, 2011.
