Community Service Award

The Crispin Sequeira Annual Community Service award is presented annually to a member who is recognized as an outstanding volunteer in the Association. This award comprises of a one-of a-kind edition Pearlite totem trophy of a Haida carving depicting an eagle and a killer whale and a cash award of $100. The recipient's name will be engraved on a plaque at the base of the trophy. It will be presented an the annual event.
The two criteria that apply are:

1. The recipient will be an individual who contributed most significantly to the annual operation of the association through volunteering his or her time, personal resources, attendance and expertise at Association events.
2. The recipient must be a member in good standing, but must not be an Executive Member in the year the award is made.

Nominations from the membership are invited. If you wish to nominate someone for this award please send a short email to president@goavancouver.com with your suggestions.
The individual will be selected by a 3-person committee, at least two of which must be current Executive members.

In making the donation to the association on behalf of his late father, Mike Sequeira stated "It is our hope that the creation of this award will motivate our members at large to come forward and volunteer to help our association and community grow."
