Coat of Arms

G.O.A. Vancouver – Coat of Arms

The Coat of Arms in totality represents  the sun, sand and rhythm of soul which is the very essence

of Goan culture. The various symbols that comprise the shield in the Coat of Arms are:

Church – representing the emphasis on religion.
Fish – symbolizing the authentic cuisine of Goa.
Musical notes – representing the fun loving and liveliness of Goans.
Beaches – at every turn of the undulating coast are the alluring beaches offering solace to the mind.

The sunset and the ocean speaks of the geographical location of both Goa and Vancouver both

being on the West coasts of our two countries.

The colours represent:

Green – blessed with nature.
Blue – close to the ocean
Red – symbolizing the liveliness of Goans.
Yellow – the sunshine we enjoy.
